FAQ

Where does coaching take place?
You can choose to work with Sue face-to-face, by telephone, using 'Skype' - or by using a combination of all three.
Face-to-face appointments usually take place at Sue’s home - in a beautiful, peaceful village in Cambridgeshire, where you can totally relax and have the space to focus on you. Or, if you prefer a more active approach, you can meet Sue in the grounds of Burghley House, near Stamford, for 'coaching while you walk'. Alternatively, Sue can arrange to meet you at a convenient location. Face-to-face appointments last one and a half to two hours.
Telephone or 'Skype' appointments usually last one hour and can be the perfect solution for convenience and flexibility. It also means that distance is no object - Sue works with clients all over the UK, and also Ireland, Western and Eastern Europe, Japan, China and the USA. |
|
What times can I have my sessions?
Sue offers sessions on weekdays and evenings, and on some weekends. She is very flexible and will always endeavour to fit in with your needs. |
|
How many coaching sessions will I need, and how often will my sessions be?
This very much depends on where you are now and what you’d like to achieve.
You may want to work with Sue regularly (every two weeks, for instance) for a defined period (such as three to six months). Or you may prefer ad hoc sessions to deal with specific challenges as they arise. Alternatively, you may want to work on longer-term goals, with a regular monthly session, for instance.
Sue will discuss this with you to ensure that you receive the support that’s best for you. |
|
What happens between my sessions?
In your coaching sessions, you will formulate tasks or actions to help you move forwards, and a plan for what you will carry out before the next session. In between sessions, Sue will ask you to update her by email on the progress you’re making, or on any challenges that may come up. |
|
Do I need to prepare anything before my first session?
Before your first coaching session, Sue will usually ask you to complete a questionnaire. As well as ensuring that your coaching time with Sue is spent as productively as possible, many clients find the questionnaire a very helpful first step in clarifying their needs and becoming clearer about what they want to achieve. |
|
What about confidentiality?
Sue will treat all information that you discuss in strictest confidence and nothing about you will ever be shared with anyone else (subject to any requirements placed on her by law). |
|
How can I get the best out of coaching?
Be honest and direct with Sue at all times, work in partnership with her, and be open to new methods she may suggest.
In each session, have your diary with you and pen and paper to jot down thoughts, insights and actions. The notes that you take can very positively influence the quality and effectiveness of your work with Sue, as (of course!) will carrying out any agreed actions.
Most importantly, be unreservedly committed to yourself and willing to step into your full potential. |
|
I’m not sure if coaching is for me – how can I find out?
Sue offers a free, informal, no obligation chat on the telephone (usually, this lasts about 20 minutes) to help you decide if coaching is right for you. Although coaching is very powerful, it isn't appropriate for every situation, and Sue will always endeavour to suggest an alternative way forward for you should this be the case.
You can call or email Sue at any time to set up a time to talk that will suit you. |
|
A note about 'SPAM'
Sue always responds to any emails or phone calls, so if you do not receive a response from her please be aware this means either she hasn't received your message, or, due to the nature of some spam filters, her email may have been sent to your junk mail folder. So please do check your junk mail folder if you are expecting to hear from her and don't, and if there is still no response, do please try again!
